Would have been 5 stars but the children's play area was full of peanuts/peanut shells and my son is allergic to them so we couldn't play in there.

Beautiful place to go for a walk with the family or the dogs. Youcan walk by the river. Or go in to the woods. Recommend

Great dog walking spot, steeped in our industrial history. Great insights into its prior use as a Victoria recreation area, with bear pits and ornamental gardens. Lovely little visitor centre with information on the trees and wildlife at the park. Fantastic old trees too.

A great place to take the children for a walk or snack. Or your dog for a walk but please keep them on the lead and pick up after them. Lovely views across the merseyside. Two great pubs and cafes. Enjoy x

Lovely woods though. Fond memories of my own childhood days out looking for the bears in the bear pit and playing "Witch" with my mum and siblings
